The result of this poll is a sad commentary on our laziness to check things out for ourselves. Our bias will not let us see the plain facts. (I'm sure that Catholics do not have a monopoly on this 'virtue'!) All it takes is one minute to look up the Catechism (it's online for those who don't have a hard copy), and read the paragraph in plain English.
